Jerry Hopwood was appointed Vice President, Reactor Development in April 2006. He continues as a member of AECL's executive team as a new phase in the nuclear power industry begins to take shape.
Previously, Jerry was General Manager, Product Applications. In this role, he was responsible for CANDU 6 And ACR 1000 pre project support, CANDU applications such as oil sands, and was a member of the ACR Review Team. In his new role, Jerry is responsible all engineering, licensing, R&D and product application work associated with the Advanced CANDU Reactor and the CANDU 6.
Jerry has worked in many areas of AECL since joining us in 1975, following graduation with bachelors and masters degrees in Applied Physics from Oxford University. His first assignment was safety and licensing, where he worked on Ontario Hydro and CANDU 6 designs. In 1985, he became Manager of Safety Systems Design for new CANDUs.
In 1992, Jerry was appointed Technical Director, Korea. During this assignment, the Wolsong 3 and 4 contract was signed. Since returning from Korea in 1995, he has held various positions in Reactor Development, and has had a leading role in defining the design of the Advanced CANDU Reactor.

David Doerksen is currently vice-president, marketing strategy and administration for Cameco Corporation. His mandate is to guide Cameco's marketing strategy and provide oversight for the administration of all sales and purchase agreements for the Cameco group. He is also responsible for marketing nuclear fuel in the Canadian market and the sale of fuel fabrication and reactor components worldwide.
Mr. Doerksen started his career with Cameco in 1998 and held positions in treasury, strategic planning, business development and marketing before assuming his current position in 2007. Prior to joining Cameco, he spent 10 years in the international oil and gas industry with Amoco Corporation and held various positions in finance, treasury and business development.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Before taking over responsibility as Managing Director, he held several positions within the company, lastly serving as Director International Operations responsible for all world-wide marketing and sales activities as well as the delivery of the international projects. In total, we works for the NUKEM group since 16 years, holding positions in US and UK subsidiaries, too.

Hans Forsström is Director for the Division Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Waste Technology within the Department of Nuclear Energy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He joined the IAEA in April 2005.
He has a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
He started his career as a reactor physicist in 1972 for the Ringhals 1 BWR. He then turned to the field of radioactive waste management. In 1979 he joined SKB, the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company where he has held several different positions within research and development for waste management and disposal. During his last few years at SKB he was Technical Director with responsibility for the central Swedish Waste Management Systems and Facilities.
From 1998 to April 2005 Hans Forsström worked in the European Commission as Head of Unit for Nuclear Fission and Radiation Protection in DG Research, where he was responsible for the implementation of the Euratom Framework programme for research and training activities on nuclear fission and radiation protection.
Mr. Kutscher holds a university degree in nuclear engineering. He is born in 1963, married and a father of one daughter.

Dr. Moon-Hee Chang graduated from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1976, with his bachelor degree in nuclear engineering. Since then he worked for Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) in the areas of the nuclear criticality safety and reactor core analysis for five years. In 1985, he received his Ph. D degree in reactor physics from M.I.T., USA, and rejoined KAERI. Then, he had worked for reactor core design and analysis and its methodology development till 1990. In 1991, he led a group for developing new and advanced concepts of nuclear reactors and its technologies. From 1994 to 2002, he worked as the project manager responsible for the development of an advanced small-size integral reactor, SMART, and its application for nuclear seawater desalination and power generation. His research interests covered development of new and innovative technologies for advanced reactors, verification of technologies, and its extended applications such as for nuclear desalination and others. Currently, he is a vice-president of KAERI responsible for a wide spectrum of R&D areas related to the technology development and design of advanced reactors, such as Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor (SFR), Very High Temperature Reactor(VHTR), SMART, Supercritical Water-cooled Reactor(SCWR), and also development of Fusion Reactor technology. He is also working as a representing member of GIF (Generation IV International Forum) for Korea.

Dr. Toshihide TSUNEMATSU started his fusion research on plasma theory in 1972. His specialty was the mathematical modeling and simulation of the magneto-hydro dynamics for the fusion plasmas. Since 1980, he participated in the fusion reactor design activity, INTOR, which was managed by IAEA. From 1989, he joined the Conceptual Design Activity of the ITER and continued the works to the Engineering Design. Since 1998, he has been taking the position of the technical representative for the ITER Project at the Japanese Party. In Japan Atomic Energy Agency, he has been the Director General of the Naka Fusion Research Institute since 2007 , and been managing ITER Project in Japan and other domestic programme.

Dr. WU Zongxin served as the Director of Institute of Nuclear Energy Technology, Tsinghua University from 1994 to March of 2001 and afterwards he has been appointed as the Director of Academic committee of Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology and the Director of Energy Environment Economy Institute. He is also the member of committee of experts for National Nuclear Safety Administration.
He graduated from Department of Engineering Physics of Tsinghua University in September of 1962. Up to now he serves as the faculty of Institute of Nuclear and New Energy technology, Tsinghua University. He was appointed as the Professor and PhD Supervisor in July of 1987.
